About Our Online Classroom
Hello Students,
This website will be the place where you can come see your weekly assignments. At the beginning of each week I will post all of your math, language arts, and writing assignments. On Fridays, similar to Specials at school, I will give you a different, fun task to complete. Your assignments will be listed under the tab labeled "Assignments" at the top of the screen. Your families can help you with anything you don't understand. I will also be available to help you and your families learn new concepts that may be challenging. If you or your family have a question about an assignment or are having trouble understanding something you can contact me during school hours. My contact information will be listed under the tab labeled "Contact" at the top of the screen.
Hello Families,
You and I are going to be partners throughout this entire process. I will be here to support you and your child as much as I can. I want us all to be successful during this time and I will do my best to make that happen.
How This Will Work:
Each week I will post assignments that you can find under the tab labeled "Assignments" at the top of the screen. I will make it clear which assignments you should work on each day. I suggest you go through each assignment, one at a time, with your child, each day. I don't want you or your child to feel overwhelmed so take your time to complete the assignments each day. You do not have to do everything in one sitting. I suggest once you start an assignment be sure to complete it, then take a break, then go on to the next thing (just like we do in our classroom).
At the bottom of this page I will also post additional resources for you and your child to explore.
My Goal:
I will be doing my best to guide you throughout this process and be as helpful as I can. This is a new experience for all of us and I want to work together to make this as enjoyable as possible. My goal is that students still learn what they need to in Kindergarten without overwhelming you in the process.
Fun Additional Resources
I will be posting additional resources below. These are not required. These websites have fun games, stories, dance, and movement activities for students to do throughout the day if they are cooped up inside. I understand there is a lot of screen-time involved so please do not feel obligated. These are just some ideas for families looking for fun, extra activities to keep their children busy during this time.
Mrs. Garrett's Kindergarten Computer Lab Page. This link will provide you with all of the fun pages our computer lab teacher, Mrs. Garrett, provides for students. Students have played some of these games before and some they have not. There is a huge variety and majority of them are educational.

ST Math. This is a math program that students at our school have never used before, however, it's amazing. I've used it in the past and it is a very cool math program that, similar to Lexia and Dreambox, puts children at a level that specifically meets their needs. Also similar to Lexia and Dreambox, you can do it on a computer or tablet and and all the child needs is internet access and the ability to listen. It is available to families for free during this time. It's great for extra math practice. Check it out if you're interested!

Cosmic Kids Yoga. This is a YouTube channel that combines storytelling and yoga. We have done it in the classroom on rainy days when we can't go outside for recess and the children love it. You can find long or short videos to incorporate movement into your days. There are so many different stories children can move along with including Star Wars and Trolls, just to name a couple. Students can also learn about mindfullness and mind-body connections.

Vooks. This website is offering one month free to parents. It is a read aloud website that can read stories to your child and the stories come to life! Children really love exploring the huge library of stories and the website offers tons of additional resources for families.
